Tramlink suspended due to Power Failure

This has been ongoing since this morning but a power failure at the Therapia Lane depot and control centre has caused the entire system to be suspended. Must be the first time this has happened in the history of the Tram system and a huge headache for everyone involved.

The entire tram network is not running, Transport for London said
London's tram network has been shut down by a power failure, Transport for London (TfL) has said.
The widespread issue, which began early on Thursday morning, is due to a loss of power at the Therapia Lane Depot.
Mark Davis, general manager for London Trams, said: "All services on London Trams are currently suspended due to a power supply issue.
"We're sorry for any disruption this has caused to our customers and are working at speed with UK Power Networks and our operator to safely reintroduce services as soon as possible."

The power supply issue began early on Thursday morning
The tram network is based in south London and runs from Wimbledon to New Addington, Elmers End and Beckenham Junction.
Tram tickets are being accepted on local bus services and train services operated by South Western Railway, Southern, Thameslink and Southeastern.

Wonder how the ticket acceptance on NR will work as 99% of people on the tram are using PAYG. I guess you'd have to contact TfL to get the difference between the £1.75 tram fare and whatever you were charged refunded

Loss of traction power, or control room etc. power, does anyone know please?

Interesting that while the power was able to be restored by late morning, they couldn't get any service until today and even then Addington Village to New Addington is suspended due to a power failure at Addington Village.
