Tram and Light Rail Mileage

I am trying to find the mileages of the British & Irish tram lines. I want to get the distances in miles and chains for all stops on the Blackpool Tramway, Croydon Tramlink, South Yorks Supertram, Tyne & Wear Metro and Dublin LUAS. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Thanks for that WatcherZero, plenty of info there but I cant find the bit with the tram stop distances. Can you point me in the right direction, I'm new to this.

You need a copy of 'Rapid Transit Miles & Chains' by Stuart Clarke, published in 2002 (so it excludes Dublin). Can't remember the current price, but you can contact the author by the e-mail link from http://www.preserved-diesels.co.uk/railways/prmc.htm

Google earth and the ruler tool may be best way to calculate mileage between stops, I dont think its recorded anywhere.

Provided that stretch of line is dead straight, otherwise you'll get some very distorted measurements.

You can multiple click on Google Earth to measure around corners and along roads/railway lines, not just "as the crow flies."

Thank you all for your help. I've managed to find some distances on RailMiles and I'm going to try to use Google Earth for Blackpool, T&W Metro and Dublin LUAS.

Don't bother with Google Earth. Most if not all of the UK light rail networks are in the Quail/Trackmaps diagram books. www.trackmaps.co.uk

Alot of the systems use Km not miles.

The Tyne and Wear Metro system is all in metric, apart from on the Sunderland extension. Zero point is South Gosforth HQ.
