I’m a newby on Railforums so this is my first post.
I’ve been looking at Traksy. Two questions. Where does the feed with all the live information about train movements, signal aspects and the like come from?
Also what is the difference on the line diagrams between the solid and the hatched lines? Is it signal related?

The data comes from Network Rail's open data feeds....the same feed that all the public maps run off. The hatched lines on Traksy are route information. They will show when a route has been set...though only show where there is data available and added by the author of the map. Other map services may display route information differently.

Someone will no doubt come along and say there is probably already a thread about this - all of the sites (Real Time Trains; Trains.im etc) all utilise the same feed and display the data in different formats.

Anyone having problems with signalmaps ? I cannot seem to get connected am I doing something wrong do I have to pay a fee or something ?

Its working here, though is missing the coloured delay boxes.
