Hi guys,

I don't have the sim, but having seen the various add-on trains you can get, including the tiliting Voyager, I may buy it. I have a few questions about it first though...

1 - Are there any free downloadable add-ons/any UKTS type places?

2 - Are there any Non-fictional UK routes available?

3 - Is it better than MSTS?

4 - What features does it have which make it different to MSTS and BVE4?

5 - Where can I buy it?

Some answers to your questions:-

2. On the download station that Rhys has posted above there are some non-fictional routes available.

4. The only feature that makes it different from MSTS and BVE is the easy route creator. It really is simple to sit down and create a layout within minutes.

There's quite a bit of freeware, but the 220/221 is payware.

Hi Rich

As far as I know, some of the non-fictional routes are as following:-

* York to Harrogate, Harrogate to Leeds, Leeds to York, Leeds to Selby, York to Scarborough, Scarborough to Bridlington.

* A West Coast line one with Ufton, Theale and Reading.

* Newquay to Padstow in 1957.

* A one named Heartbeat which includes Scarborough, Seamer & Whitby, although this has been stated as having track relaid to preference so it may not be 100% non fictional.

As long as you buy a copy of Trainz and use the identification code that comes with it then you can download all of the items, routes and trains for free from the download station but you must bear in mind that download speeds are slow unless you actually pay for it.

i had 2004 and registered it, when 2006 came out (15 pound from game) i registered that as well and got a 3 month free premium 1st class usage, which i used to the max!!!!
there is a london suburbs route as well, suppose to be the nll.

So if I buy it and register with the serial number I get access to the downloads - sounds reasonable.

So this Voyager is like an Making Tracks Stock Pack add-on for MSTS, which you have to buy?

I have £20 knocking about somewhere, I think i know what I will do with it!

1 - The WCML route looks good - is it, and what stock comes with it?

2 - The Trainz download centre appears to be mainly USA motivated, and I couldn't find anything British??? :?

Any ideas?

Theres thousands of british stuff! You can even get detailed 47s , 57s , 66s , 37s!! , 08s theres loads!

Try the search box, for e.g go to the Locomotives section and search 'Class 37' or something, should bring up quite a bit

There is one thing that I forgot to mention about the download station. When downloading routes there will normally be a load of dependencies that need downloading as well. These will be listed but will take quite some time unless you pay for the premium service.
