Hi all,
We have a advance return journey (made up of four singles) from bournemouth to waterloo (via a spilt ticket to winchester). We have used the bournemouth to waterloo part.

However we have now noticed we had the wrong time for the return journey (waterloo to bournemouth) so have bought a new ticket for the right one as per trainspilts policy, what the likelyhood of getting refunded on the erroronus ticket considering we have used the bournemouth to waterloo portion?

Totally accept I have to pay the diffrence and the fees as it is my fault.

If the departure time for the erroneously-purchased journey had not passed when you submitted your refund request, I am sure that you will get a refund less the change fee. If you do not, there are several members of Trainsplit staff (or staff of associated companies - I am not sure which) on the forum who can speak to customer services to address any issue.

Yep. Becuase I used the Bournemouth to Waterloo part it just said its been used
Maybe that's because it was booked as a return 'journey' (even though the tickets are presumably singles; it's a bit confusing as you refer to "advance return" which isn't a concept that exists)

Can you clarify if this was a booking for a return journey, but that all tickets were issued as Advance singles?

The original tickets booked as singles yes,

So
Single Bournemouth to Winchester (used)
Single Winchester to London terminals (used)
Single London terminals to Winchester
Single Winchester to Bournemouth

The later of which I want to change the time of

I think the used flag triggers if any ticket in a booking (single booking ref) has passed.

Of course if you have 4 single tickets (all of which separate time/date periods) then some might still be in future.

I am sure you need to email request as query because form blocks amendments of partly used, and they need to be split and updated manually
