Hello All...... Can someone tell this 'old duffer' why when playing Trainsim 2013, automatic braking keeps applying itself even though I'm well below the speed limits indicated in the control panel ? It's driving me insane!

Also, what is TSX mode in graphics settings ?

Advice will be much appreciated.

Kjay.

I'd imagine it's an AWS activation, you need to make sure you cancel it out when approaching signals that display a cautionary or stop aspect.

As for TSX I think it's do with extra effects such as the lighting and weather etc.

Reference the TSX mode, although not all computers are capable of utilising them, if your computer is powerful enough, I highly recommend applying them. I've gone from using a dated laptop (well, in computer terms at least....if was from 2007) which only ran medium graphics settings, and even these slowed things down somewhat! Now I'm using a powerful computer (not specific for gaming, but powerful nonetheless!) and it runs the highest graphics settings with TSX enabled, with ease. The difference, especially in a night drive, is phenomenal! In the rain, you even see splashes appear on the windscreen which remain until you use the wipers!

Thanks for your info' Stigy. I must say I had no idea at all what TSX was all about. Yes, I've got a fairly high spec PC so I'll give that a 'go' now.
Thanks again, much appreciated ! :)

PS:- [edited a few hrs later]

Stigy.......Like I said ,I`ve got a pretty decent machine and already get superb graphics. Even so, I gave TSX a go and found that it simply reduced `brightness` pretty significantly. So....I kicked it into touch. This is not a criticism Stigy, I was really pleased that you showed an interest. Really!
