All the traction I sign has external cab doors but I have often wondered how drivers of units without cab doors manage to get out to use SPTs without the risk of passengers falling or following them out. This must be especially difficult in crowded trains. I know the front vestibule is locked out of passenger use on 159s for this reason but this isn't done on 158s, 180s, pacers etc, so how is it managed?
