Trains in BR livery that still exist

Hello,

when passing the depot at Tyseley a few weeks ago I noticed that some of the carriages stored there are still in their 'Regional Railways' livery- are there any other (easily viewable) examples of rolling stock still in old BR livery, especially from the RR/Intercity/NSE days?

The Banbury commuter set is one, but it has been repainted into BR Livery, where before, they were a mix match of different liveries, mainly Virgin and BR Blue

There's Class 86 and 87 in BR blue at Willesden Depot you can see them from the WCML

31106 is in BR Blue, WCRC's 47270 is in BR Blue, 37518 is in Intercity, 47580 is in BR Blue with Silver Roof and Union Jack Flag. Also, I think both Riviera and WCRC have Intercity liveried Mark 2 coaches.

Oxford station is home to a pair of rather derelict looking BR blue GUVs which permanently occupy the down bay. They are in fact labelled 'Not to leave Oxford station' or words to that effect, so they have presumably been in place for quite a while. They're padlocked and I would guess they are used for storage purposes. If you ever pass Southall slowly enough to have a decent glimpse, there is a Swallow liveried Mk3 sleeper in there, very faded and I would imagine used for staff overnighters or somesuch.

Still there today, but there's now a mesh fence between them and the staff car park. One is a GUV and one is a CCT... took this a while back before the fence was put up...

the majority of the class 92s retain RfD two tone grey with blue roof... although, some of them sport either an EWS 3 beasties sticker, or a "Europorte 2" sticker on the bodyside over the base/standard two tone grey...

There was a mark 3 sleeper in the Inverness loco shed, that could be seen from platforms 1 and 2, and this was in IC swallow livery. Now, the spot is occupied by a sleeper in Blue/grey livery, so possibly the same coach repainted.

There was an EMT 153 that lingered on in Provisional livery until, I think, 2009.

No, different ones. The intercity one has since been scrapped, whereas the Blue & Grey sleeper (10588) moved to Inverness last year for spares following the collapse of its owner Cargo-D which used it in B&G livery on charters

86101 and 87002. Neither have a great future. There's all NSE liveried 86401 there.

BR Blue 47580 (not owned by WCRC, ran up the WCML yesterday from Southall to Carnforth hauling 6 coaches), which is in regular use. WCRC also own BR Blue 47270 "SWIFT" which is currently out of traffic at Carnforth, but until late last year saw regular use.

There's also Riviera Trains, who have 47812/815 (Two tone Green), 47847 (Blue Large Logo). And Tyseley based 47773 (Two tone Green). HNRC own 20096/107 which get used on GBRf stock moves but carry BR blue livery, BARS own 31454 which carries Intercity Swallow livery but is currently out of traffic. And, a private group owns 20142 and 73201 (both carry BR Blue, I fact the 73 gets used by Network Rail)

Although numerous (which I won't list) other locomotives used solely on heritage railways, there are some locomotives which are based on heritage lines but can/do see use on mainline charters, such as at East Lancs Railway 37518 (in intercity livery), 40145 (in BR Blue), 55009 (in BR two tone green), 55022 (in BR Blue). Swanage Railway 33012 (in BR Green). Mid Norfolk Railway 50026 (in BR Blue Large Logo). Severn Valley Railway 50044 (in BR Blue) and 50049 (in BR Blue Large Logo). NRM based 55002 (in BR Blue).
