Maybe it'll spur some forward thinking as to what we need in future for testing HS lines at linespeed. I'd be happy with TVM430 fitted to the NMT just to see how fast we can get it to go, rather than the 100km/h limit currently

On the subject of that, how's this for awkward/rare - Mk1 and 2 coaching stock in the Eurostar platforms at STP. Maybe not so much rare, certain Friday nights/Saturday mornings see it happen. Oh, and of course an HST in there as well.

I'll raise you a class 73 push-pull with one of the temporary reformed REP / TC rakes ( the ones used during the REP / TC to 442 changeover period )..... at Epsom on a Waterloo to Dorking or Guildford stopper one winter evening.
