A police investigation is under way after the discovery of two bodies on a Norfolk railway line.

Emergency services were called to West Winch, where a farm track crosses the line, and made the discovery, British Transport Police said.

Train services between King's Lynn and Downham Market have been suspended while forensics teams search the area.

Buses are replacing trains running between the two towns, train operator First Capital Connect has said.

Ah yes. Heard a bit about this at work today.

It would appear that they were collected by the first train up from Lynn on Saturday morning. Apparently the driver heard a loud bang but, because it was dark, he wasn't sure what he'd hit (it could just as easily have been a deer). It was called in to the siggie and it was decided to allow the train to continue it's journey. The bodies were found later the same day.

Nasty business. :(
