This morning 30 July 2019 i arrived at Gatwick at 0100 and got to gatwick south station at around 0120 .Im sure that there was supposed to be a train around that time but when i look online all i can see is the 0107 to St Pancras and the 0221 to Victoria however im sure that there was a train to London in between these two trains because i thought i saw this on the departure boards with a comment that the train was cancelled. I am trying to fill out the delay repay form for this cancelled as i ended up having to catch the 0221 train . Can anyone help , was there a train to london from gatwick on 30 July 2019 between the 0107 and 0221 service that was cancelled ?
The service (9W04 - 0141 Three Bridges - Bedford) due at Gatwick 0145-0146h was put through as and MSX (tue - fri) cancellation on the 26th July (so disapeared from the RTT WTT / VAR / STP view on Saturday).
I suspect it disapeared when you were out of the country (assuming you flew in from abroad).
Can 'Delay Repay' be claimed in this circumstance? That being this was a pre-planed (allbeit, late notice) cancellation?
Of course the answer is yes, if there was an advance purchase ticket brought for this named service.
Looking at Open Data displayed
here it says it was Activated 30-07-19 at 00.41:46 and immediately cancelled at the same time, with 'PD' code (as said above), with the text TPS cancellation (Not to be input in TSI/TRUST)] ON CALL
It is activated at the planned departure time from origin, if it had been running (as opposed to 2 hours of so, before, if it was running)
So I'm not sure if it would have appeared on the departure boards at any of its station calls - or not.
My (limited) understanding of the pre-published cancellation is that they don't go onto the CIS displays - only those cancelled on the day of running.
I shall happily take enlightenment on the subject though, from a knowledgeable forum member.
