"Trains calling at..." option on timetables screen

Has this disappeared altogether from WebTIS? I just tried VTEC and Southern and it's no longer shown on either. Am I missing something / is there any other way to force two via points?

Still on VTEC as it was on EC as via.

Don't think you could ever force a break. The only engine I have found for that is Dbahn, but they don't sell tickets.

It's when XC 10 minute reservation comes good. .

You used to be able to specify one via point in the way you describe, as well as a second one by clicking the timetables option and adding another station under (something like) "Trains calling at...". This was definitely there a couple of weeks ago, last time I bought tickets...

On NRE it's no longer on the initial search, but if you do a search then click Edit Journey/Add Return and open up the Advanced Search panel there's a Travel Via option there.

The solution is to buy your tickets at a website like trainsplit.com

Somebody doesn't want us to be able to customise our journeys - which is absolute nonsense. Surely we should be demanding more flexebility from our booking engines, not less?

I contacted First Great Western web support. This was their response.

Thank you for your email received on 1 April 2015, in regards to our
website functionality.

I was sorry to hear that you have been unable to use the same functions on
our website as you have previously, leaving less flexibility to your
search. This is not something we have been clearly briefed on, so I am
afraid that I cannot advise currently as to why this has been removed. I
have contacted our Communications Coordinator with this and have asked for
further information. I will therefore look in to getting back to you with
an update once I have received a response.

Particularly since it's a way to get reservations on valid routes...

Meanwhile your local friendly* booking office can do Avoid, Via and Stop At (for xx minutes)! (At least, ones using Tribute can!)

*no guarantees on that

On RJIS, up to three excluded stations can be input in conjunction with either one via point or one "stop at" station. It's not possible to have both a via point and "stop at" station as it was with WebTiS.

No. To make slower journeys appear, you used to have to use 'via', 'avoid' or 'calling at', as appropriate.

This is a welcome improvement. I hope it stays.

The loss of the 'trains calling at' field is an unintended consequence of the work that added overtaken trains to this page. It should hopefully re-appear soon.

If they were direct, overtaken trains were sometimes shown. London to Edinburgh is an excellent example. But yes this way is defintely better.
