Trainline not showing purchased tickets today?

Has anyone heard of problems with Trainline app this morning? I purchased tickets from Lime St to Mcr Oxford Road this morning on Trainline, got the confirmation ‘you’re going to…’ in-app, got the applepay confirmation and can see the transaction on my credit card statement - but no record of the ticket in the Trainline app, nor the usual confirmation email.

Train guard and Oxford Road gateline both say there are lots of similar cases this morning and just to show proof of purchase as above - but disappointing there is nothing on the Trainline site or twitter account about it, if it’s widespread even if temporary.

Anyone else with problems?

Moral is: don't use third party sellers. Why not buy direct from the operator and save on commission charges?

Their interfaces are often terrible and besides Trainline don't charge a booking fee for on the day purchases in app and the likes of Trainsplit only charge if they've found you a saving.

Really? And how did that work for @All Line Rover ( see Avanti West Coast - actually speaking to someone? )

And if the original poster of this thread is travelling with Northern, the service would be even worse.

Also, if I did as you suggested and switched to the operator I was travelling with, how would that work if I change operator mid journey? I would also be out of pocket by several hundreds of pounds a year because the fares charged on train operator sites for the throughout journeys I make are often much higher than the fares charged through Trainsplit.

Furthermore, the original poster in this thread would not have been charged any commission from Trainline, as they said they bought the ticket today through the app, so they would not have saved any money on commission charges.

Except when you buy from Greater Anglia it turns out to be Trainline anyway.
When I complained to EMR recently, the response came from a sales.support.eastmidlandsrailway@trainsfares.co.uk (a domain that appears not to exist) and with an EMR logo on the bottom but was sign off as Thank you for contacting trainline,Have a wonderful day,Stay safe and take care.

The grammar throughout the reply was awful as well. This has also just reminded me that I never actually responded to that!

It's a perfectly valid domain.

I just tried to go to it again and it redirected through to trainline, which is strange as I got an NXDOMAIN error earlier.
Go to it?

There's no requirement to have a website at any given domain.

Domains were used for e-mail decades before webpages were invented.

Looks like there's some confusion between trainsfares.co.uk and trainfares.co.uk

Indeed.

The Whois information for trainsfares.co.uk makes more sense.
