Trainline Advance/Super Off Peak bug?

Is this a bug on Trainline or have they started branding Advance tickets as Super Off-Peak?

I am assuming a bug as on the second screen it reverts to calling the ticket an Advance ticket, but this is easily missed and could well catch out unsuspecting customers.

£14.70 fare from Snodland to St. Pancras is an Advance Single Tier (route Plus High Speed), isn't it?

So, is what's happening is that Trainline is flagging the 10:43 departure (being an after 10:00 service) as one on which a semi flexible Super Off Peak Day Single (route Plus High Speed), at £25.60 is available, but, if you click through on same, is then offering the (cheaper) advance ticket, because everyone always wants the cheap option?

Yes, can see that this could be potentially confusing.

I think you are right, it's not a bug, I take it back. It's by design. it seems like madness to show "super off-peak" underneath the price of a ticket, with a eTicket icon and not expect the customer to assume that all are related and that they are being sold a super off-peak eTicket

I think what they're trying to indicate is that these are "Super Off-Peak trains". But that's liable to cause confusion because as we well know, trains aren't "peak" or "off-peak" - it depends on the ticket you hold.

To then sell an Advance after labelling a train as "Super Off-Peak" only adds to that confusion.

Interestingly that only seems to appear on the Android app. On the iOS one it doesn't seem to be there at all.

If they keep it it'd be better if it said "Super Off Peak tickets exist for this journey" or something clearer.

Could part of the reason for Trainline's confusion be that Southeastern have added their Advance fares to the same routes as their walk up ones, rather than setting up dedicated AP routes?

Trainline seem to have adopted a similar approach across the board, not just SE

I have noticed that there is often quite a lot of variation across their Android and iOS apps
