Howdy all,

I start training as a commercial guard in the next few weeks after waiting 3 months for a training course to become available. I’ve just received a hospital appointment which i can’t get out of during the training course. It will be during the 5th week of the course. I’ve contacted the HR department who are contacting the training center. Does anyone know what the likely result will be? Im worried about having to wait another 7 weeks for the next course

If it’s 5-weeks in I think you’ll be okay...I’m not familiar with the Guard course but since it’s about halfway through I’d imagine it’ll be a time when you’re able to catch up rather than a time which is crucial you attend. Is the appointment definitely not one you can rearrange?
