Is the training for ticket office clerk actually 4-6 weeks FT?
Even though the job itself is PT?

Yes. I spent four weeks in a classroom at the training centre with the Train Operating Company I did it with, then two weeks of mentoring in the ticket office itself. There is far too much to be learned to make part time training effective. TOCs tend to look unfavourably if you start missing days of the training. It's not an ideal situation. I was a student at the time so I was incredibly lucky that all of the training took place in the summer holidays.

Oh no!

I am a student too. I think I shall withdraw my application even though I passed the assessment etc.

Yes! If you are not able to do the full time training you won't get a part time job - Simples! This is made quite clear in all the paperwork which I received and my course had 3 people who were doing part time roles.
