Hey guys, I too have passed the online assessments and hope to be in the top bracket. I have been informed that the next stages are the assessment day. Then a driving test of some sort and then the interview.
Can anyone elaborate on the driving part of the assessment please?
Not sure how it works but someone I know just joined and is on a course learning the ropes and seemed to suggest it's not the full train driving tests (bit more like the Guards' ones) as its quite heavily based on Highway Code etc.
Guys. Regarding my question about the GCSE certificates. Does anybody know whether I need to provide my certificates. I have more than 3 GCSE but dont know where they are. Please someone try and answer my question. Thanks.
From previous experience you don’t need to provide them but things have changed a lot! So maybe now you will need to like the DLR have started requesting. If so it’s fine you can get a copy of them from the Internet quick google search will have you find the link, to which it’s a small fee of around £50 to retrieve.

The driving is very easy, it’s in a van and it’s designed to test how well u anticipate hazards, and retain information given.
you will be given a set of directions at the start I.e. turn left, turn right and right again. It will be up to you to remember the instructions, you will then be tested on how well you anticipate a hazard I.e a car door opening, how far away did you see or anticipate the door and how well you reacted to it.
so my advice is just be calm and relaxed and just remember safety is your friend and don’t forget to listen carefully to instructions given.
help for the assessments is make sure you practice the material they send you! That’s if your serious about wanting the job.

I will count myself as lucky if I’ve been given a date. I’m guessing a fair few people aren’t on the forum, but the dates appear to have been moved back a week for tests anyway.
If you don’t believe that some have now been invited to an assessment centre, why not email Recruitment on the email address included in the email and ask them? It’s unreasonable to question someone and ask for proof of something just because you or someone you know hasn’t scored in the highest bracket.

You are lucky but also don’t sell yourself short you’ve scored a high an attractive score that’s why you’ve heard back quickly I still say well done to you mate

Ok mate, once your hissy fit is over Read it properly, I said I was reading a thread called Abellio assessment n mistakenly thought the guy had a test date for the the Bletchley trainee train driver job. I didn't mention train n u assumed I was on about trams as I wrongly posted in tram thread
