Hi all,

I've been invited to an assessment with a TOC for a assessment and if successful a interview with a line manager.
What advice and tips would you give as I have some experience from volunteering at a heritage railway so I have some proof of competency.
Also what kind of thing is covered in a Verbal Evaluation test, Interpreting Data and Train Planning exercise
and Finally, any tips on how to answering using the 'STAR' format (Situtation, Task, Action & Result)

Thanks :)

Regarding the STAR format see link below for an idea, best advice I can give you is 'practice + practice/ prepare' some answers before hand (with colleagues names / jobs you were doing etc) so when you come to 'recall' them they do not appear contrived : -

regarding other info previous post may help you :-

Good luck !:D

p.s if you want a topic to have as a taking point beyond info on TOC look at some of the stuff that NR is doing which will have an impact on rail operations e.g Traffic Management
