Trainee train drivers at Glasgow and Stranraer

Just noticed First have advertised for trainee train drivers with First Scot Rail. To far away for me but good luck to everyone who applies.

I got knocked back from TPE so can't apply until December which is a pain in the backside.
Have opportunities to progress in my current career but I'd love to do this job

I applied for the last intake of trainee drivers for Glasgow, my application status says successful on hold. Does anyone know if this would put me in the pot for this new job because from what I see its the exact same job? So frustrating I really want this job, been applying for other jobs outside rail industry and had a final interview yesterday and to be honest it's little better than my current job plus it's hard to motivate yourself for a job you don't really want. Hoping for some luck to at least get a chance to get the job I really wanted!

I applied back in February so possibly the same time as you. I know they say you' be on hold for 6 months but my status still says 'on hold' so I've emailed them for clarification. I'll post back when I hear!

Just heard back-because it was from the February round of vacancies and it's now over 6 months ago, I need to reapply.

Ok thanks, I emailed them as well - same response. I can rule myself out of that one then because of First Groups 3 month rejection rule from another vacancy. Very frustrating game this
