Doncaster and Leeds are on the list of depots. It's the assessment days that are York/kings X (and a couple of other locations for non qualified it seems)

Ahh fair enough, its abet nerve wracking once again all this waiting. I wonder if they have sent out all the invitations today and Monday they will send out the 25% off vouchers (personally I think it should be 50% off for getting through to the online tests lol).....Until then refresh refresh

Well done to those who have got through. Out of interest, did you guys feel you did really well in the test, like scoring over 20?

And did any of you get the second email after completing the test, asking you to do the same test even though it said on the test page you'd already completed it?

I know I timed out on 3 and I think I got at least one wrong. I also got that second email. Applied for Leeds and have got through to the assessment centre.

I didn't think I did hugely well on the test. But there you go...

Anyone else get a rejection email AND an invite to assessment centre?

I applied to Leeds incidentally.

Received the invite for the online tests on an October afternoon a couple of weeks ago. That very morning I had the misfortune of witnessing a rail fatality, not nice.

Thought, "well, it could be worse, I could be the driver or the family", cracked on and did the online tests, got 23/25 on my practice and maybe slightly less on the real thing.

Looks like that may have been a mistake from what I'm seeing here, thankfully I have a conditional offer elsewhere plus one other TOC offering a WCT plus interview.

Oh well.. I find it difficult to believe I've got through to the next phase as I've still not heard anything...

I can't imagine any situation where once the results of the tests were known that they couldn't be collated and sent out in a matter of minutes.

I really think you're over thinking it! Nothing about this recruitment campaign has been exactly logical. Just wait and see.

I've gone for York on 24/01/17, anyone else..??

Could be worse Swampster, one particular company earlier this year sent out 3,000 emails manually with the bad news going out first. Everyone had about five days of waiting and hoping not to receive one.

It wasn't a railway company either.

I was sure I'd failed, as the software froze halfway through the final screen (with three questions left) and then showed my attempt as 'completed'.

HR kindly emailed me a link to retake the test, but before I had a chance to do so, I received an invite to an assessment centre.

So; either I scored highly on the four-and-a-bit screens I completed, or perhaps the threshold isn't quite as exacting as most of us assumed.

Well it's an anxious wait but I'm going to enjoy my rare weekend off and worry about it Monday instead.
Congrats to those who are already through.

The actual psychometric tests and then medical.

It doesn't even mention interviews so presume this forthcoming day replaces the interview?

When I attended an Assessment centre for VTEC for a station role, interviews were part of the assessment centre.

So as a Doncaster hopeful I am guessing York would be my best option if I get through? Strange that Doncaster is not on the list or Leeds

York and Kings Cross will have rooms available of a suitable size to hold assessment centres.
York Academy has at least 6 rooms to hold assessments in.

Got mine at the same time - I've asked for Kings Cross next month.

It takes about 24 hours for me to get leave granted where I currently work so I've only just been able to send off my request for the assessment day. I'm hoping the date I want isn't already full up now eeeek.

I've just sent my request for Newcastle assessment day
And got an automatic reply. I'm assuming it may be because it's out of hours.

Yes I had a weird email saying thanks for applying you will be informed before the 21st November if you have been successful. Hmmmmmm

Same as mine by the sounds of it. Told me the closing date was the 14th of October too.

So long other people have got it too though, has put my mind at rest. Was hoping I'd not missed a hidden email address I was meant to reply to, but I guess not.

Not looking good for me then. I applied Newcastle and have not heard a thing back since assessments.
Oh well.
