I considered purchasing a resource like the one you've mentioned above but a couple of friends who are drivers themselves mentioned that in some cases it's better to not try and study for it and just attempt it on the day as it's a test of skills you either do or don't have.

They mentioned that a lot of it is just making sure you get enough sleep the night before, make sure you have breakfast and you're well-hydrated so that you have full attention and concentration levels for the day then go through it.

I'm told that it's to replicate an 8 hour day of driving and how your concentration skills will dip.

I highly disagree with what your friends are saying, my uncle used it and he’s now going into his 3rd year as a qualified and he recommended me to do the same and im now two weeks until my start date!

Each to their own, depends how much more of a chance you want to give yourself for that dream job!

It is down to how you feel in doing tasks without practice. Personally I felt if I practiced material too much it would put me off for the actual tests, as I may expect something different.

I went in blind apart from the matetial the toc gave me and I passed it all. Have dmi Friday.

But as others say above, it helped them so maybe its worth it. If you have the money spare and you feel you will benefit from practicing then nothing to lose

As ever you will get the range of views here
I fell on the side of invest in the software and practice giving me the best chance on the day
Passed first time and used Traineetraindriver which was very close to the Stage 2 tests

I found I got better quite quickly with a little practice and felt as prepared as I could be for the day

I may have passed without it - who knows

Good luck which ever way you choose to go
