Just completed my telephone interview and had the passed email within 10 minutes. The only thing is does say await email for next stage, but it also says you still may not get to the next stage which will be based on scoring.

I had the same email, I think it's just there standard generic message that everyone who passes the interview gets, unless someone can say otherwise? Will probably get an update in a few days hopefully.

As with all interviews they will be scored. Then I assume a selected amount will progress through to next stage for assessments.

I agree, although if this is the case I wish they wouldn't use sentences like 'Congratulations you've passed', nothing like getting someones hopes up! Instead a sentence like 'you have been successful in passing the telephone interview, we are now scoring your interview to see if you have achieve the standard required to progress to the next stage' would suffice and at least set you up a bit more for disappointment :D.

We shall see.

I passed interview stage for Manchester also. For any one who hasn't received an email I strongly suggest ringing up. I did. And booked telephone interview with the woman on the phone

I found out earlier this week that they are sending invitations out over the next couple of weeks as they are conducting the interviews in stages. so there's still hope for some of us
Fingers crossed we hear something soon then.
This waiting game is killing me lol
On a serious note though, the interviews are not just about FTPE. They focus on customer service you've given aswell :D

Has anybody not had the pass for the interview?

Me - interview Friday afternoon, received the 'no thanks' email just now. Really annoyed with myself, I did plenty of preparation and then just went blank and kept tripping over myself in the interview.:-x

Anyone had a rejection after the 2 online tests yet?

I have done the assessments but not heard either way as off yet, no no thanks email or a invitation for an interview. Middle man lol

Also I am curious if anyone has had a no thankyou email after they conducted the online assessments

I have but have not heard anything back after the two online tests

Have you had any information from TPE. Only reason why I ask is because I am lead to believe is if you've passed the assessments but fall short of there grades for the assessments you have to resit some or all. I done my assessments nearly 2 months ago just wondering if I have to wait until the 6 month point before I can progress any further?

I've passed them, and not heard a thing back. Bit strange. But having done this a couple of times it's not a supprise. I work on the railways, so even less of a supprise there is no rush. Ha.

Hi. Had the telephone interview this afternoon, and as per a few others on this thread - received the "successful" e-mail within 5 minutes of ending the call. Very happy to have received the e-mail - only taking it with a pinch of salt at this stage however, because it does state we will only be able to progress those that fall within the top scoring bracket.
Good luck to all waiting for either their e-mails or telephone interview. fingers crossed!

Failed the interview - heard within about 3 days though. I honestly am so disappointed in myself - customer service is what I do every day! I work in retail as a store manager! When asked about a specific example, I went blank and started rambling about how customer service is something I do every day! I had made loads of notes about times I had been under pressure, worked alone, etc, but about 2 lines about customer service. I think by the time I had come up with a specific example (quite a good one too, tbh), I had rambled too long and perhaps not demonstrated the best communication skills. Though the email didnt say exactly what I had failed on.

Ah well, I live an learn.

Just been given a date for telephone interview (17th). Very happy to have gotten to this stage, hope I don't mess it up.

Just had the invite for phone interview. Cant believe they are still sending these, take back my earlier pessimism! Only issue is, I cant make the slots, they have given many but only over 2 days. I currently work 4 days on / 4 days off so should have plenty of options for them to do this, have 3 days midweek off next week and 4 the week after. Has anyone clicked the 'I cant make these dates' option yet and what happens if you do?

Hi there,
my best advice is to email them and say that due to your work comitments you cannot do those dates.
They'll update your account with more dates.
I had this problem last year...

If you applied for the trainee tram driver (3 months ago) am I right in saying you can't apply for trainee train driver roles with first?

Thanks, I just did that, I am though worried that the slots wont be able to be rearranged as it says on the site this cannot be guaranteed. Also, the existing slots are fast disappearing, and its the weekend, so I dont expect a fast email reply....

Anyone actually found the slots run out and they wont rearrange one for you ? I am afraid of this happening...
