Northern updated their vacancy board with some new jobs yesterday (Thursday 2nd May).

There's also a trainee driver job in Wigan been added on there along with the one in Darlington.

Is the "within 45 minute commute" like a red line they won't move on? I live 50mins from Darlington is it even worth applying in my case?

Thanks, it's soul destroying to be just outside the time. Suppose it depends on the TOC but I thought they all allowed an hour. oh well. cheers anyway.

As Aivilo says, they are strict on 45 minutes. In interview they ask you to talk through how you will get to the depot in less than 45 minutes before public transport runs and at rush hour.
