Trainee Driver Stage 1 Assessment advice

Hello people

Just seeking some advice. I have a day one with Arriva tommorow for the trainee train driver role. In regards to the SJE and Personality questionaire I assume they are looking for certain traits. Could anyone give me any advice as to the responses that would help pass ?

As it's YOU who's sitting the tests, how about using your own responses and not those of others??

Nick have the said what tests you are sitting as the SJE is normally done in Watford by OPC, unless I’m mistake

Another thing to keep in mind with the Situational Judgement Exercise (SJE), is that on it's own, it's not a Pass or Fail affair, which is why it's important to answer the questions as honestly as you can.
The results of the SJE feed into the Multi-Modal Interview (MMI), and assist the interviewer in tailoring certain supporting questions to you.
Yes, they are looking for certain personality traits with you, but if your SJE conflicts with the answers you give in your MMI, then you will find the interview to be a bit of an uphill struggle.
It's in your best interest to be totally honest in both the SJE and MMI.

Safety is of upmost importance - there is no point in asking for the right answers here, as if they do not come somewhat naturally to you then when the brown stuff eventually does hit the fan you may well be found wanting. Personally, I used the SJE practice books (available from Amazon) to give myself a flavor of what sort of questions to expect and cross-references my answers with the commentary provided in the back of the book. I found it helpful in that I was familiar with the format when I sat the test.
