Hi folks,

I'm new to this fantastic forum... my first post! Ive been a keen railway enthusiast ever since I can remember. Been working as a teacher for about 8 years but would love the chance to become a train driver... time for a career change... I should have done it years ago!
I know it's very tough to get a job but does
anyone know how often TOC push recruitment drives?
Anyone got any info? Thanks.

Where in the world are you and which TOC(s) are of interest? Or would you be willing to relocate to anywhere in the UK?

I live in Scotland but wouldn't be able to relocate. Just wondering if anyone has heard of anything?

ScotRail Recruitment Page - https://apply.abellio.com/vacancies/?d=1

Register for job alerts and they will email you when a vacancy arises.

They had a big push for drivers a few years ago so may not be recruiting for a while.

It may be worth checking out Caledonian Sleeper (drivers are freight drivers but unsure which company), CrossCountry (usually qualified drivers only), Virgin Trains West Coast (also usually qualified only), Virgin Trains East Coast (also had a recent big push for drivers).
