Grateful if someone could give some advice

In Feb 2015: I went for a trainee driver assessment with Southeastern, however I failed to meet the national standards for Tee Occ test but I passed everything else.

In Dec 2015: I went for the trainee driver assessment for LOROL, but sadly I didn't pass. I found out from OPC today, that I had passed all the tests but I didn't meet the "enhanced" Group Bourdon score set by LOROL. So gutted!

OPC said that I can apply for other trainee driver jobs as I had met the minimum standards for the tests and I should have to re-take them again.

Just wondering if anyone else has been this position and what happended? What TOCs take trainees on without the enhanced tests etc...?

Thanks

Only the TOC & OPC knows and they will not disclose it for obvious reasons.

Apply for a vacancy when it comes up and once you're sifted through to the assessment they will tell which test/s you'll need/ or not need to retake.

From my experience, although it is not very extensive, even by my own admission, Freightliner and Northern Rail do not require enhanced whereas Transpennine Express do.

I think it would be really useful if people could relate their own experiences on this thread as the relevant information seems to be all over the forum at this moment in time. I would even go so far as to say that maybe it should be a sticky thread.

What would be really useful is if we could identify those tests where we know TOCs definitely differentiate between minimum and enhanced standards.

Currently there seems to be a 50/50 split between TOCs doing enhanced scores and others sticking to the national standard.

Also bare in mind that some TOCs will include additional tests outside of the national process. So you may fail these but pass the national tests and your results will be valid. All TOCs should record your results as a pass/fail against the national standard not their individual enhanced level on the national database with a note saying "didn't meet XXXX standard"

First post on here so hope it helps

I am curious if anyone could enlighten me regarding the assessments for Virgin Trains east coast. I am lead to believe they had recruited internally over the last couple years for Trainee Drivers. Does anyone know if they require a enhanced or pass standard?. Many thanks in advance.
