Would just like to thank the lovely member of FGW staff that named this train for me Legend!

Although, I must say, the names for the other trains are ridiculous! In a cool kind of way though, of course.

we named them the terrible trio of terror 158815, 158816 and 158817 "Gizzy, Fingers and Gypsy" hahaha!!

Gizzy still has her name in both ends too although she has been through the paint shop and is now available in purple!! All of Northern Rail's 158s have been repainted now

Yh, I can't remember anybody complaining to the national rail press when someone at Tinsley unoffically named a Gronk!! I wondered why someone wrote "Gizmogle" in the cabs. Is that where you got the name Gizzy?

they didn't write Gizmogle they wrote Gizzy and the name has stuck even now the unit is with Northern now!!

NAd funnythig is that i have a photo of 158793 too http://www.railwayphotos.fotopic.net/p54472540.html think it was one of the first to be painted in to Northern colours.

Alex is right. I've been Gizmogle for years. A member of FGW staff wrote the name Gizzy in both cabs for me as a surprise.

He may think that 156425 TG is pretty but wait untill he sees Davina 158882 or ANNA 158783.

yup, you've totally missed it - Oops, there it goes!!

Trainbaby is one of Northern Rail's class 158s (158905 to be exact!) and the entire fleet has been nicknamed in a series of stories entitled "Trainbaby and Friends" This is the thread where these units can be discussed and sightings can be reported. If you would like to know more you can check out the official website . It's really a bit of fun that a few traincrew and friends have been sharing but it's got quite a cult following as you will discover if you read page one of this thread!
