train simulator editor problems

Having some problems with the editor. When i am creating a Scenario it is letting me start to create one. I then click save to save my work come out TS go back in. When i load up Scenario Editor again and want to continue working on that scenario the load button is greyed out only buttons that are there to work are CLONE SCENARIO???? why is this

Sounds like the route hasn't been unlocked for scenario editing.

To unlock the route, you need to create a scenario and uncheck the padlock at the bottom right of the screen. Click "okay" to the message, save the scenario, click play, exit the scenario through the menu and the route should now be unlocked for editing. Feel free to delete that scenario afterward.

Hopefully I remembered the procedures right; the last route I had to unlock was London - Brighton nearly a year ago!
