Realtime Trains doesn't list which units are working which diagrams. I believe that information is behind paywalls on enthusiast-operated sites, or through favours from industry insiders.

I use "RTT" on my smartphone. Really handy for finding when trains are due to arrive at the local stations, will also give the platform number, so, darned useful should one need to change at the next one

OpenTrainTimes has live maps for some areas and live departure boards / train schedules National Rail services.

If by "certain trains" you meant a particular service, then that's what you're after.

Alternatively if you meant a particular unit/locomotive, that information is not publicly available (other than word of mouth / people sharing information)

As per the above posts, you really need to clarify exactly what
you mean when you say "certain trains"


Do you mean you want to track/follow the progress of a train service
as it moves from A to B, so you are in the right place (at the right time!)
to photograph it, in which case the suggestions for RTT/OTT are spot on,
or do you mean that you want to be able to find out in advance the
movements of specific DMUs/EMUs/HSTs/etc on a given day??

If the latter, then that is a lot more difficult, although there is a very
handy 'sticky' topic at the top of this very forum for that very purpose:
