Hi

I'm travelling from Chelmsford to Walton-on-Thames next Tuesday 11/08/2015 and use the Greater Anglia and Trainline website to find trains.

I know there are 2 trains that start from Chelmsford in the morning (7:49 and 8:09) so I can get a seat.

If I plan a journey between Chelmsford and Liverpool Street they show up, but if I do Chelmsford to Walton-on-Thames they disappear.

Are these only for journeys that end in London?

The websites will probably recommend that you take the train from Chelmsford to Stratford, Underground (Jubilee line) to Waterloo, then train to Walton-on-Thames. The Underground is included in the price of the through ticket.

You can get either the 0749 and 0809 to Stratford, but they are not showing up because they are overtaken by slightly faster ones (the 0740 and 0759).

The tickets are the same price if you buy at Chelmsford station on the day, so no need to book in advance. Also if you do, don't buy via the Trainline as they charge an avoidable booking fee!

Thanks.

I'll go for a seat over speed :)
