Just been out for some milk and on the way i saw smoething that i had to giggle at. There was an EWS tank train passing through Lincoln on the down through line it had nEWSance spray painted on th side incorperating the EWS logo into it.

This has propmted me to ask what the funniest piece of graffitti you have seen on a train?

NB: This post is in no way meant to condone or glorify graffitting trains which is illegal, and in most cases unsightly.

The former WAGN 315's used to all have 'Nifty' names written down their sides i.e 'Nifty 1', 'Nifty Express' etc which was actually quite amusing at times. Most of these units were painted in undercoat white so were obviously a prime target for graffiti as they were a blank canvas. And WAGN's successor, NXEA, who obviously seem to be fighting a battle with graffiti that plasters their trains atm have decided to bring back that plain white livery....er, hello?

NXEA seem to have more graffiti on their trains than any other TOC!

I once noticed a slam door train (connex days/possibly early south central) pull in to Chichester with graffiti covering it from head to toe including windows- surpised it was in service was an eyesore!!

I guess it has just been the school holidays, which might explain why a number of FCC 313s were covered in graffiti in recent weeks.

Nothing clever or amusing though.
