train driver in HongKong, any advantage?

I am looking for trainee driver position in UK, any insider know that will that be an advantage with train driver experience in oversea(hong Kong)?
I understand that all the rules and regulation will be different.

The silly way the system works over here you probably wouldn't get preferential treatment over someone who has never driven, however you would be able to demonstrate experience such as how to act in emergency, how to think on your feet etc which should see you through the psychometrics - something else which you would probably have to do.
