we had something like that in Nottingham, Autumn 2004, a 2 month old cat became a stowaway on a NET tram and got on at beaconsfield street, and animals are not allowed out of cages on the tram! The ginger fare-dodger was escorted off at Wilkinson Street depot and was given some TLC

Paul Cooper [aka. Irish Driver] was once cautioned due to a black dog on the line. He stopped, somehow got it into his cab, took a photo on his mobile and posted the shot on his old driving blog. Can't remember the URL though.
