Does anyone know if its possible to charter a sleeper train and if so from whom.

I'd say your best bet is getting in touch with either The Caledonian Sleeper guys or Great Western Railways for their Night Riviera sleeper. Just ask if they do any group discounts or how much the overall cost would be. At least that's my best bet?

No, they were part of the Northern Belle fleet so are now at Carnforth.

I'd have to suggest that both the Night Riviera and the Cally are highly unlikely to have sufficient spare stock to allow for charters, and removing a public service in order to provide it would presumably be out of the question.

To the OP, are you simply after a group booking on an existing service, or a proper 'charter'?

Serco could have spare stock when the new stock arrives, does depend on the OP's timescales though not to mention bank balance.

I doubt Serco will have spare stock when the new stock arrives - they will be looking to off-lease the existing coaches as soon as they can.

It has been done before although it was in unusual circumstances - a short CS scratch set (two sleeper, two lounge cars, two brakes) was chartered to transport Paralympic atheletes from Manchester Picadilly to London Euston in October 2016. If the route is not electrified it may cause other issues. I am not sure if CS has a diesel powered locomotive in the south.

CS don't have any locos at all. CS sleeper haulage is all contracted out to GBRf.
