Train cancelled due to 'planning error'

Surely one of the perks of such jobs is ensuring that the your going home train is protected from all danger of cancellation?

or indeed your relief's train in.

It should also be pointed out it could be an NR planning error due to a possession being in the wrong place or using the wrong protection / isolation limits etc

And a Controller colleague also went to catch his train home which he himself had cancelled it during his shift; He'd totally forgotten and when he asked station staff where the train was, the reply was 'some b*stard in Control cancelled it' !

As an ex-Controller I’ve done the very same thing myself… oh how we laughed
