Surely should have been provided for you? But if not your DI/PM is probably the best person to ask to ensure its up to date and fits your TOC's specification

For now I'm a bit stuck regarding the ways of identifying the No.1 or No.2 end of a turbo just by looking beneath the sole bar at various equipment.
Could anyone could give me some help that would be much appreciated!

I believe no1 end has the toilet tank....

Why would you need to know the difference between the two????

There is a small white arrow pointing downwards to the No.1 wheel on every vehicle solebar. The No.1 wheel is at the No.1 end of the vehicle. This is a standard feature on UK rail vehicles

I think the OP wanted to know how to identify no1 and no2 ends on a 165/166, not the location of no1 wheel...

Find no.1 wheel and generally you find no.1 end? OK if your not on no.1 side you are a bit stuck but its still a useful aid.

That's probably why they mentioned that the No.1 wheel is at the No.1 end of the train. It's in your quote!
