Traction Maintenance Depots.

This might be an ignorant question for those of you who are long time contributors to this forum. If so, apologies but here goes: Are the traction maintenance depots run by the train leasing companies, Network Rail, the TOC's, all of these, none of these or someone else? It was much easier in steam days. :cry:

Haha, its not stupid as i think you can find an example of each one!

To add to that is the train manufacturers who also have some. Such as Alstom and Bombardier.

Answering my own question, I've had a brief look on Wikipedia; there seems to be plenty of information there, though in my experience it's not always up to date or accurate. To answer your question, my interest centres round NW England.
