Hi all just wondered your thoughts on the best rail mobile app or websites to check train times etc. Sometimes on my long walk to tring station it's frustrating to get there and the trains are cancelled and then lm stuck in the middle of nowhere so wondered if there was a decent app to check times/delays etc. Thanks.

I find the best website is Realtime Trains http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/ I like the detailed search results pages.

or

Tiger http://iris2.rail.co.uk/tiger/ although it seems, to me at least, that not every station is listed but you do have a choice of views for the information.

I use opentraintimes.com for a visual indication of where trains are on the track. Think of it as the Flightradar24 equivalent for the railways!

That Tiger website looks really good. It even gives you train info on the staff view that you'd only usually see at stations, and eve tells you how many carriages in some cases.
