I see these jobs advertised and have applied for a few. I always meet all the essential criteria, but probably not the desirable criteria. It’s asks for or working towards an nvq in a relevant subject. The job descriptions are so vague you don’t even really know what you would be doing anyway! So my question is what subjects are relevant to railway work?
