Track Maintenance vacancies

When I google search track maintenance jobs I always find network rail vacancies. Despite having PTS track induction and all other requirements I am always rejected. Do the other freight\train operators own track in england and do they advertise for track staff?

afaik noddy rail own and maintain the infrastructure, some work is contracted out so you may want to approach them. jarvis springs to mind but they don't exist anymore Uhm ah yes balfour beatty they're a contractor. have a look here might be useful. www.railway-technology.com/contractors/indexAtoZ.html

There will be a few limited areas where Network Rail do not own the track, and therefore do not do the maintenance (mainly light rail/underground like Tyne and Wear Metro or LU).

Try these guys......http://www.babcockinternational.com/careers/ I know for a fact they do a lot of NR's stuff - there's almost always a track machine parked at Bedford's FCC depot, and I often see one parked down Hemel way.
