Hi everyone!

I recently applied for the position of track operative for network rail. I have done my online assessments and think I did pretty well. On my account on the network rail jobs site it now says "invite to assessment 2 pending" anyone any idea what this means? And also does anyone have any idea what the interview will involve? I've read about the 8 non technical skills, just trying to get as prepared as possible because I really want this job!

Thanks in advance

Chris

It means you are in the line up for an interview. Good luck & make sure you are prepared!

Non technical skills questions will be the favourite things they like to ask! You won't be expected to have a huge knowledge of the actual job. It's all, about what sort of person you are, can you work well in a team etc!

My process took around 4-5 months, not long ago I started at last (NR track operative).

the assessment 2 is a interview, if successful you'll get a call and a email to state your invited to a panel interview.

good luck! this is the frustrating stage, I was unsuccessful on many occasions at this point.

Where abouts is the depot you've applied for? I have the same status for Sheffield & York. Good luck with it! I've been unsuccessful twice already at interviews.

Hey would you mind letting me know what is required in the online assessment and how you prepared, I now have 5 days to get my act together!

Any advice on questions or how the structure of the assessment breaks down would be great!

Thanks,

and good luck with your application :)
