Hi there, I work for the railway; my partner has a dependant card- is there a way I can track the travel he does on it?

No. Well, I mean, not directly - could you not just ask him?

RST can though, so if you think he’s using it to commute or something it’s probably better to have that conversation sooner rather than later and ask him to stop, before he ends up losing the passes and you end up having to send a grovelling apologies to your HR and staff travel…

Even RST could only track tickets purchased on the RST Online site. There is no way to link a Priv ticket purchased at a ticket office to a particular individual (short of getting the police involved to trace credit cards etc.)

This sounds like a relationship question more than a jobs one... Why do you want to "track their travel"? Why can't you just ask?

If you are worried about abuse of the pass - I am not saying you are but if you read between the lines... - you need to have that conversation with your partner before it escalates.

I assumed the OP meant a dependant smartcard type pass, which RST can and do monitor. But yes, if it’s just a standard pass or priv aye it wouldn’t be traceable.
