Track Defect at Moses Gate.

Was on the train this morning trying to get into Manc, but got as far as Bolton when the train was cancelled. the Guard said there was a track defect at moses gate.

Walking through Bolton I saw two NR guys standing on the up into bolton from preston - i guess a signal failure?

anyone know what happened?

If it was this morning, it could have been left over from yesterday, was a rather large gang out around the carriage sidings and was kept below 10 until the Farnworth - Kersley tunnels...

There was a track fault discovered yesterday, the work to remedy overnight caused some issues this morning.

ok, cheers. were they running standard test on the track, is that how they discovered it?
