i understand what the track components are and why each part is necessary, however not what some of the failures are associated and what the effects may beIs this work related or uni? What do YOU understand about it? Then we may be able to assist.

Goes into a lot of detail about failure of the rail itself. Gareth is a permanent way engineer by trade so I assume he knows what he's talking about (though I don't believe he's specifically a metallurgist or expert in metal fatigue).
