TPE Website not showing Advances?

I feel as though I’m doing something wrong here. I’m investigating Advance fares, Berwick upon Tweed to Edinburgh, out 6th July back 9th July. 2 adults, Two Together railcard. If I use Trainsplit‘s or LNER‘s websites I see 1st class Advance fares. On the TPE website I don’t seem to see any Advances and it’s wanting to charge me about double the Advance fare for a semi flexible fare.

The forum's own site seems to show plenty of advances on those dates:

https://tickets.railforums.co.uk/re...12:00&Adults=2&Railcard=12TR&OpenReturn=false

(You can use "Filters" to limit to TPE, but because there are few services, you might get no results for your time of day chosen)

Is there a reason you want to use TPE's website?
I’ve purchased from the Forum’s own site. I’m just curious as to why the TPE site is doing what it is doing, at least for me. It is apparently a bit misleading.

Something weird's going on with the TPE website, for me it is only showing the TPE trains from Berwick to Edinburgh.

I think there's something wrong with TPEs site. I was looking for Penrith-Glasgow tickets and if I chose a single it wouldn't display any fares at all. If I chose return it was fine (which of course meant it wouldn't show any Advances).

As well as showing only the TPE services, their site only seems to be showing walk up route "TPE only" tickets (from Berwick-upon-Tweed to Edinburgh) not any advances, nor other operator tickets.

Oh that wasn't clear at all. You wrote "wanting to charge me" implying you were trying to purchase tickets.

My northern friends rarely use TPE's website. As you can see, it's pretty poor

Is it permissible for a rail ticketing website to deliberately not show other operators and/or Advances? I say deliberately to exclude a technical issue.

I think they can put whatever bias they want into their website.
Ticket machines and ticket offices have to be impartial but websites do not.

TOCs are allowed to bias themselves online as much as they wish, but must be impartial in person. Third Parties must be impartial, even online
