I have been asked to edit this post, to clarify its meaning. Like all good quips, it needs explaining and is all the better for that.

Twitter's terms and conditions prohibit abuse, but the platform is famed for it. In the current circumstances, it seems rather ill-fated, and strange, for this particular TOC to do an online Q&A, when most of their customers are likely not in any sort of mood to ask anything other than if they are ever going to be allowed to get home.

The below comment plays with this concept, and uses the art form of dry, or "dead pan", sarcasm to convey incredulity and a sense of ridiculousness.

====
Inviting abuse is surely a breach of Twitters conditions of use

Some of the Tweets, apologies if i've copied them.

Hi. The timetable is designed to provide a consistent half hourly service at Slaithwaite, Marsden, Greenfield and Mossley. I appreciate there has been a regrettable amount of disruption but the schedules all have the amount of time needed to make the stops included. ^William

Why do you think a peak-time stopping service from Huddersfield to Manchester can work if the train starts from Hull? First two days, delays from #Marsden of around 20 minutes. Thin end of the wedge? #TPEDec19

Hello Suzanne. Unfortunately there no plans to introduce this into our timetable. If you ever need help with your luggage, please check with our helpful on-board and platform staff. ^William

@TPExpressTrains Hi William, will we ever be getting a train all the way from Hull to Manchester Airport instead of having to change at Piccadilly or Huddersfield, hard to do with luggage. #TPEDec19

Hi Nick. I am sorry for the overcrowding this morning. Redcar will see the Nova 3 when the rest of our new trains are in service. It will mean increased capacity along the route. ^WIlliam

#TPEDec19 When will we be seeing Nova 3s on Redcar services? I normally travel on the 0815 service between Victoria and Huddersfield and on several occasions in the past few weeks, it's been standing room only before it arrived at Victoria and this morning was particularly bad.

Hello Martin. The departure to Hull is 34 past (Not 33), the signalling headway is 3 minutes for departures from Leeds. As you will know, there is a heavy demand for trains on that stretch of line so sometimes we have to schedule trains as close together as we can. ^William

Why have you scheduled a 27 past to Scarborough,a 30 past to York and a 33 past to Hull all from Leeds In the afternoon....all passing through the Leeds-Micklefield coridor with in _6mins of each other.....one delayed all delayed!!!!

Hi Adam. The MAN to LDS stopping train was very unreliable as it had to be overtaken en route by faster trains. For consistency, we are providing a half hourly frequency at MLY in conjunction with the Northern train which still goes to Manchester Victoria. ^William

Why did you a year plus ago remove the LDS stopping at MLY services that went onto MAN? For a year plus now I have to transfer at DEW or HUD if I can even get on a train. This was a vital service for people living at intermediate stations. #TPEDec19 https://twitter.com/adhorden/status/1070599378904199168

Hello Trudy. The reason is that the stopping patterns are different. The Northern train makes extra stops and so the journey time is longer. This means that they can't be evenly spaced with the TPE train. ^William

#TPEDec19 two train an hour from Hull to Leeds which is great but why are they 10 minutes apart?

Hi Jake. The reason is that because of pathing constraints in the Motherwell area, this train only has enough time for a 1 minute dwell, rather than the 1 and a half minute dwell that all other trains have. Therefore, we have made it set-down only. ^William

@TPExpressTrains Hey William! I hope your doing well, My question is, Why has the 1622(1S61 1307 MIA-GLC) at Motherwell now set down only on Mon-Sat(Excludes Sundays)? #TPEDec19

Hi Jem. Once all of our new trains are in traffic, trains on the Hull to Manchester route will be 6 carriages in the peak times. Also, we added a new stop at Stalybridge in the Liverpool-Victoria-Leeds-Scarborough train. ^William

Dear William, Trains between Hull or Huddersfield and Piccadilly tend to look like this at Stalybridge. This is a 3 carriage service. This degree of crowding is almost daily. When will 6 carriage trains return to the line? @TPExpressTrains @TPEassist @jreynoldsMP #TPEDec19

Hi Andy. This is currently expected to remain as it is. The idea is to give express journeys to the Lake District, Cumbria and Scotland. I hope this is useful for you. ^William

#TPEDec19 what is the future for the set down and pick up only if your services at Bolton - will the method of working continue or change?

Hi James, thanks for your understanding. We extended the turnaround times for the Hull - Manchester Piccadilly trains to give improved reliability. We also designed the timetable to give an even clock face of 15 minute departures from Leeds and Manchester Victoria. ^William

Hi William. You’re going to take some flak this evening. I’m sure you’re not trying to do a bad job. So give us something positive to go on, so we know it’ll get better. #TPEDec19

#TPEDec19 will the Manchester airport to Redcar Central ever be a nova or 6 carriages it’s really needed on this service and it is not reliable enough in Dewsbury

Hi Madeleine. We have intended to give Dewsbury a consistent half hourly service. Therefore the stops are in the Man Air - Redcar and Man Air - Newcastle. We have made some other re-timings to aid reliability in the Ordsall Chord area. ^William

#TPEDec19 The new timetable has extended journey times significantly between MAN and DEW (up to 16 minutes). Any train on Ordsall subject to delays and unreliable. Why remove the stop from MAN-HULL train? DEW lost a peak morning train to MAN/ HUD despite huge demand. Reasons

Hello Wez. There are a number of challenges still being worked through. However, the good news is that we have a method of work to allow 6 car trains to operate. ^William

#TPEDec19 have the 185 ASDO issues now been solved? And if so when will it be switched on across the network? The Hull peak time service is now dependent on it with the removal of the Northern village stops peaks.
