In some ways I was pleased to get that far but after speaking to the opc and finding out it was one question was a bit galling to say the least. But if I put my hands up and I'm 100% honest after getting the feedback I could see where I had gone wrong and why they failed me.

Thanks, hope I pass the second time if and when I get the opportunity.

Good luck, I've still not had any further emails & it looks like I'm in exactly the same situation as this time last year. My 2013 application still says passed assessment :(

Do you mean you've passed the psycometric tests, or just the online tests? If it's just the online tests, why don't you contact them to see what's going on?

I did contact them in January before this round of adverts and didn't get a reply. Last year was different and we sat tests in Manchester. The highest scores were then invited through to the psychometrics, no telephone interviews last year. I passed all the old tests in 2011 with DBS

A lot of people there this morning in Blackpool! Not to mention there was another group after us, plus the ones in York.

I was offered assessments this week but clicked on " can't make these dates" as I had a Db Schenker assessment booked for nxt Tues. That's now been cancelled. I heard nothing back from TPE so emailed them today. They don't have any more assessment dates available but will keep me on file.

Should I have planned on attending both assessments? Doesn't matter as now I'll be back to waiting until jobs become available. :(

Tyne yard jobs filled internally, applications cancelled for those positions.

That's wrong what DB have done to you, why bother booking you for assessment only to fill from internals! I'm sorry you missed out on TPE, I've got a couple of colleagues that are still waiting for assessment dates, so maybe they'll open more dates soon.

Morning all.

I've got my assessment today in York, anyone willing to share the required dress code as I can't find that information in the emails.

Cheers

Hi there, I've got my first day of Assessments in York tomorrow with TPE. Was just hoping if anyone knew if there is a dress code at all? Also to anyone who may have been to assessments over the past couple of days, is there any advice or information you'd be willing to share? Thanks.

There is no specific dress code, some people had suits on, some dark jeans and a jumper. It is all about the assessment and your appearance has no bearing on the outcome! Good luck

I know at York yesterday afternoon, we were told that we would not get any feedback on the day. Was that a different case for anybody else? Anybody find out how they've done before the week passes?

It's been almost a month since I passed the phone interview and i still haven't had the email about the assessment stage. Is this normal? Can anyone shed any light on this?

I mentioned my experience on the previous page of this thread Willie...i passed the phone interview, couldn't make the dates I was given for assessment and heard nothing back, despite the website saying Hr would get in touch about alternative dates. I emailed them and they sent a reply saying there were no further dates for assessment but my details would be kept on file.

Get in touch with them, probably bad news for you but it's worse not knowing mate.

Cheers, Fred. Will get in touch. Unfortunate in your case, mate. At least they're keeping your details on file, though I suppose right now that's no comfort.

Although no dress code, I was surprised to see a couple of Driver managers there!!
