TPE Trainee Conductors

TPE looking for Trainee Conductors in Sheffield, York and Newcastle..
Good luck and Jeez they are not half on the move with recruitment this year

i wonder if going for the conductors position would be seen in a good light before going for a drivers job?

Ive seen this advertised and was thinking of applying.
I applied to Northern a few years ago for a conductors job. I passed all the interviews and tests and was placed on the waiting list for a position. 2 years later and no position, just a letter saying I was to be taken off the waiting list and I would have to re apply for any conductors job. Anyway thats in the past. My question would be would First look favourably on this or would I have to go with the flow like all the other applicants. Apparently the conductors test pass stops on record for 5 years so another 2 before it runs out - in theory
