Would it be worth offering to pay the weekend first upgrade price too? To try to prevent them billing for a First Anytime Single.
sounds like a smart idea!Would it be worth offering to pay the weekend first upgrade price too? To try to prevent them billing for a First Anytime Single.
Thank you for letting us know the outcome and I’m glad you were able to reach a settlement!Hi all,
After some time, we eventually received the letter outlining their decision, which comes to £319. We have decided to pay this so as to close the matter at the moment.
I wanted to thank you all for the amazing input and insight on this!

Agreed - though I can't see how they arrived at £184 rather than £124, unless the ticket was for a longer journey.Thank you for letting us know the outcome and I’m glad you were able to reach a settlement!![]()
That looks like they've gone for the Edinburgh to Manchester 1st class single fare.Although I can't work out how they've arrived at £184 for the fare this is a decent result, considering the circumstances and is well worth paying to avoid a day in court.
Thanks for letting us know.
