Some Year 9s can be very immature and it would be unwise to let them loose spread across a 3-coach train in my opinion, but maybe the teacher knew the group were all sensible enough, but I'd not be surprised if the teacher got a word of 'advise' if it was found out they'd let Year 9s travel in a different coach to them on such a journey.
